Amy Lanset

Open Reception July 10th, 2010

"I began working with encaustic collage (heated beeswax + pigment) in 2006 as a way to get back onto my creative path. I love the immediacy of this medium; and combining colorful, painterly elements with graphic and collaged images to create surprising juxtapositions.  Beeswax allows for layering, scraping, carving, and drawing into. My work is all about surface texture, but it has a translucent depth as well. As each layer is fused by heating, line and color surface in beautiful and interesting ways. Please stop by to have a look at my evolving process!"

Open reception on July 10th, 2010 between 6 & 9 PM at the FORMUM CENTER. Located at:

1718 NW 56th Street, Seattle, WA 98107.
