Ellie Sprague

Local photographer Ellie Sprague's recent work features horse. Throughout the summer she has been traveling to wild horse reserves in Idaho and Montana as well as small town rodeos in the Northwest. Sprague spent time observing and capturing moments of quick action, quiet solitude and the emotional interaction.

A few images Sprague has used a Photoshop technique called posterizing, which she feels adds to the dramatic imaging.

When growing up in a small town in Idaho she has special memories of horses and riding bare back. These memories have inspired her to capture their majestic beauty with photography.
